Key Infrastructure Maintenance 

Chambers Capital were commissioned to undertake maintenance on the Irwell Pedestrian footbridge. Due to general wear from usage an engineering solution was required from the topside of the bridge. The client did not want works to be taken at this phase from the riverside. Chambers Capital engineers created a bespoke solution to undertake the maintenance and installation of a restraint system to significantly reduce the noise pollution disrupting the residents of Leftbank apartments above. The completed works was reviewed by Manchester City Council Environmental Health and approved. Works was completed over the weekend during day and night shifts over a number of weekends to reduce disruption to the general public. The bridge construction is a prefabricated steel super-structure with an abutment and a foundation on the Manchester bank and a foundation on the Salford bank.
