Chambers Capital Group, successfully tendered competitively to be appointed as the civils contractor to undertake full turnkey delivery of all Civil engineering works for the Sizing John, Battery Energy Storage development in St Helens by the IPC MC Ethical Power, with the key project stakeholders Arenko, and National Grid.
During construction the scheme was the largest BESS project under construction in England and the second largest in the United Kingdom. Chambers Capital commenced work from the stage of an open field building the CDM compound with contract works including: Bulk Earthworks Cut & Fill, Drainage, Access roads, Ground Engineering, all concrete works including transformer bund and all concrete bases in the step down client substation compound, all BESS and MV Skid bases, duct & trough installation, perimeter fencing and below-ground earthing.

Chambers Capital Group, reserved the plot off-market in 2019, completing the transaction in 2020. Demolition of the existing property on the land completed in February 2022. The development is a full turn-key development by Chambers Capital Group, inclusive of land-purchase, unlocking planning permission, demolition of existing structures, procurement of individual subcontracts: cost plan development, project programme development, management of the project on-site and subsequent project delivery. All properties are for sale off-plan and on-plan.

Chambers Capital were commissioned to install the infrastructure & groundworks to facilitate the provision of power to the launch of the limited edition Bugatti Chiron called ‘Les Légendes du Ciel’ a tribute to the daredevil pilots that drove Bugattis in the early 20th Century. With only 20 to be built and each one costing €2.88 million, this was a special and very important project which required 48hrs turnaround for completion as the power was required not only for lighting but the highly complicated silent alarm & security system protecting the asset.

As the approved groundworks management contractor of choice to Allied London and All Plus Management, Chambers Capital Contractors undertake planned and reactive maintenance to all works to the hard landscaping and below ground infrastructure elements, whilst undertaking all health, safety and environmental responsibilities. All works is undertaken to the highest standards utilising the highest quality of materials, frequently the client requires maintenance works to be completed during the peak times of the estate whilst maintaining full access and use for all stakeholders and customers. Chambers Capital have completed below ground drainage repairs, installed upgraded drainage runs whilst completing appraisal works, technical reports and liaison with neighbouring estate stakeholders. Chambers Capital provide round the clock reactive maintenance availability for emergency repairs.

Chambers Capital Contractors undertook fit-out works, infrastructure upgrades, basement waterproof tanking, and basement conversion works to a 200-year structure. The projects have included electrical re-wiring works, installation of drainage over-pumping systems and installation of additional rooms. Chambers Capital encountered and resolved challenges associated with a building of this age, and was subsequently appointed to undertake appraisal reports, management of works inclusive of all health, safety and environmental elements. Chambers Capital communicated and liaised directly with the client keeping them up to date at all times. Chambers Capital is an approved management and construction contractor for the client and has also undertake works for other assets in the City owned by the client.

Chambers Capital provide Construction, Engineering and Maintenance services (planned and reactive) to Nazareth Care Homes within the UK, primarily the North-West Region. Works range from the full resurfacing of their hard landscaping areas and car parks, bedroom conversions and refurbishments, structural upgrades, drainage and basement works including upgrades and conversions. Chambers Capital allow the client to focus primarily on their core business by administering care to the elderly and in some cases vulnerable. Chambers Capital ensure that the highest standards of construction and health and safety are adhered to allowing the client to deliver uninterrupted services within their care homes 24-hours a day, 7-days per week.
